**About the Role**

This summer, we’re offering a **16-week paid internship** (starting May 2026) for a Web Development Intern. You’ll get real hands-on experience developing, optimizing, and troubleshooting websites while working alongside experienced developers.

**Candidates must be located in Calgary and currently enrolled in post-secondary school.**

**Responsibilities:**

- Build, customize, and maintain client websites using WordPress and Gutenberg. - Support front-end development: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design. - Assist with back-end tasks including PHP, MySQL, and plugin implementation. - Conduct QA, debugging, and troubleshooting of web projects. - Implement on-page SEO best practices and monitor site performance. - Collaborate with designers, content specialists, and marketing strategists. - Learn and use Git/version control for project workflows. - Participate in internal culture events—foosball tournaments, office games, and team lunches.

**Candidate Profile**

**Experience / Skills:**

- Familiarity with WordPress development (themes, plugins, CMS) - Knowledge of PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, MySQL/MariaDB, WordPress plugin development - Exposure to Git or other version control systems - Understanding of responsive design and website performance optimization - Nice-to-have: Elementor, Divi or Shopify development experience - Portfolio of websites/projects is a plus

**Internship Details & Perks**

- **Duration:** 16-week paid internship starting May 2026 - **Compensation:** $20.00 per hour - **Grant Funding:** *Eligibility:* Must be a full-time student in a post-secondary program and a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or hold refugee status. International students are not eligible. - **Potential Full-Time Opportunity:** High-performing interns may be offered full-time positions with competitive salaries.
