Summer 2026 Co-op - Desktop Support Technician (8 months)

The Desktop Technician is part of the GTO Canada End User Services team. The partner will be responsible for the set up and support of desktop and laptop equipment for our client. **Start Date: May 4th, 2026** **Application Deadline: January 30th, 2026** CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $18-32/hour. This role is an existing vacancy.

**Your future duties and responsibilities**

- Installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all PC equipment. - The person will also troubleshoot problem areas in a timely and accurate fashion. - Provide end-user assistance where required. - Image Workstation for new deployments.

**Required qualifications to be successful in this role**

Mandatory Technical Skills:

- Windows 10, Windows 11, (Mac OS X is an asset) - Antivirus - Office Suites 2010 – 2016 and Office 365 - Knowledge of Computer hardware - Knowledge of networking principles - Ticketing system (ITSP / ITSM is an asset)

Soft skills:

- Customer service oriented - Self-starter, ability to work independently - Must be able to meet scheduled deliverables - Team player - Dynamic - Autonomous - Resourceful

Scholarship

- Post-secondary education in progress in a relevant discipline

Bilingualism (French and English) is required for this position due to the nature of the role, which involves interactions with both national and international clients.
