We are looking for a highly motivated student to join our team!

Our Intern Program is designed to support the development of students and recent graduates for future positions by offering one-on-one mentoring, peer and experiential learning, internal training programs, and much more. We are currently accepting applications for undergraduate and master’s level students or recent graduates seeking the opportunity to work in the investment management space.

The Intern is a key member of the Performance Measurement and Analytics team, tasked with the production of complex investment performance and analytical reporting for asset owner clients, ensuring accuracy by executing quality control checks and investigating anomalies. The Intern ensures that stakeholder inquiries and requests are addressed in an accurate and timely manner. In addition, the Intern will assist with business process improvements. The role reports to the Manager, Performance Measurement and Analytics.

Responsibilities Include:

- Acquiring an understanding of the performance measurement and analytics process workflow to support the production of accurate and timely reporting. - Acquiring a fundamental understanding of performance measurement and analytics calculation methodology to support explanations of performance results to stakeholders. - Interact with upstream teams to investigate/resolve data anomalies. - Implementing automated business process solutions based on the requirements of the Performance Measurement and Analytics team. - Other duties as assigned.

What do you need to succeed:

- Academic completion of 3rd year post-secondary education and above, with functional understanding of Investments and Accounting. - Being diligent, detail oriented, and accurate when preparing deliverables - Being driven to continuously learn from experiences and seek out feedback and development opportunities - Looking to continue to develop strong communication skills (both verbal and written) - Critical and analytical thinker and fast learner - Ability to plan, prioritize and manage time - Having a collaborative mindset and positive attitude - Ability to work in a fast-paced demanding environment and manage multiple priorities - Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills with strong problem-solving ability - A willingness to learn new things, are a self-starter and have the ability to work independently - Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Windows - Proficiency in Python, SQL, and VBA is required.

The base salary range for this position is CAD $45,000 to $65,000. The placement within the range is determined by the role and assessment of the candidate’s year of study and relevant work experience.
