- Configure and operate a custom high-speed optical test platform (e.g., coherent transceivers, optical amplifiers, etc.) - Validate DSP algorithms through rigorous experimental testing - Document test procedures and results - Design Python-based automation scripts to streamline instrument control and data logging - Optimize test sequences for reliability and speed (e.g., parallelizing measurements with multithreading)

Job requirements **About the ideal candidate:**

- Bachelor's student pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field - Proficiency in Python - Hands-on lab experience (e.g., coursework with optical components or measurement equipment) - Knowledge of optical communication concepts is an asset - Familiarity with machine learning is an asset
